Food and Activity/Service Concession

The City of Kelowna is accepting submissions for the following concession opportunities:

Food Concession:

Adjacent to Stuart Park

Activity/Service Concession:

Adjacent to Rose Garden, City Park

  Sealed submissions clearly marked on the outside of the envelope with the above-mentioned titles will be received at the Office of the Property Manager, 1435 Water Street, Kelowna, BC up until 3pm, Local Time, Friday, April 20, 2018.  The submissions will not be opened publicly.

Flooding

Significant work takes place along local steams and creeks to prepare for the annual snowpack melt – known as freshet – that typically occurs from April to July in B.C. Freshet can become a problem when winter snow packs melt rapidly, overwhelming stream channels and creating floods.

Street lights

We maintain approximately 14,000 street lights. Around 10,000 of these are cobra style lights mounted on a wooden pole or a traditional sweeping street light pole. The remainder are a combination of lights mounted on top of a pole or are of a more decorative style.
