The Zoning Bylaw governs land use and the form, siting, height, and density of all development within the City boundaries to provide for the orderly development of the community and to avoid conflicts between incompatible uses. The Bylaw divides the City into residential, commercial, agricultural, institutional, industrial, and other zones. Each of these zones has its own specific regulations. The purpose of the Official Community Plan (OCP) is to provide a statement of objectives and policies to guide planning and land use management within the boundaries of the City of Kelowna.
The Subdivision, Development & Servicing Bylaw sets the standards and specifications for works and services, and sets out the application procedures in connection with the subdivision and development of land within the City boundaries.
