North End Sanitary Catchment Realignment - Phase 2

This multi-year project will redirect the sanitary flows within the local catchment from the Guy Street Lift Station to the Brandt’s Creek Lift Station on Ethel St at Weddell Pl to balance flow patterns.
In 2025, Phase 2 will continue the installation of new sanitary sewer main along Bay Ave from Pettigrew St.  The project will continue east toward the Lane East of Richter St.  The project will then head north up the lane east of Richter St as far as the time will allow before the contractor will have to halt for the season.

Reekie PRV Upgrade

This project will oversee the replacement of the aging Reekie pressure reducing valve (PRV) station with a new facility that meets the current demands on Kelowna's non-potable irrigation water infrastructure. The new above ground facility will also address maintenance and safety issues currently experienced with the existing buried station.

Royal View Transmission Mainline

This capital project will oversee the installation of a new, large diameter water transmission main from the Knox Mountain Reservoirs and will tie-in with existing water infrastructure at the Ethel St and Weddell Pl intersection. Once complete, this new main will help provide additional conveyance capacity and a dedicated source of drinking water to the areas south and east of downtown. As the demand for potable water continues, the new main will be a critical replacement to the currently undersized Royal View Transmission main located atop a slope with known slide risk.

Raymer Avenue Watermain Renewal - Phase 2

The objective of this project is to upgrade the existing water infrastructure along Raymer Avenue between Ethel Street and Gordon Drive. The existing cast iron watermain, susceptible to costly breaks, will be abandoned in favour of a new PVC main and will eventually tie-in with the utility upgrades that were constructed in conjunction with the Ethel Street ATC project. Residents along Raymer Avenue will also receive a new water service as part of the upgrades.
