Seaford to Molnar Rd - Storm Renewal

The City-owned storm water main between Seaford Rd and Molnar Rd has reached the end of its service life and requires renewal. This project is being completed as part of the Storm Drainage and Asset Renewal Projects.

Shanks Rd Meter Station

Installation of a bulk water metering station on Shanks Rd, as part of an agreement with District of Lake Country. Installation will include a new above ground heated kiosk, water meter, and associated piping.

Reekie PRV Upgrade

This project will oversee the replacement of the aging Reekie pressure reducing valve (PRV) station with a new facility that meets the current demands on Kelowna's non-potable irrigation water infrastructure. The new above ground facility will also address maintenance and safety issues currently experienced with the existing buried station.

Stewart Rd West Phase 2

Stewart Rd West is a 2-lane major arterial road between South Perimeter Way and Swamp Rd, approximately 4.8 km in length. With increased traffic volumes anticipated due to the South Perimeter Way connection and continued growth in the Upper Mission, improvements are needed to ensure an acceptable level of traffic safety and operation. The first phase of this project was constructed in 2019 and the second phase is in the design and planning stage with construction planned for 2025.

Springfield Road, Benvoulin Rd & Dilworth Drive Intersection Improvements

The City of Kelowna is planning to improve the intersection at Springfield Road and Dilworth Drive /Benvoulin Road. Major improvments include dual left turn lanes on Springfield Rd and a right turn lane on Benvoulin Rd from Mayer Rd. Project is currently in design stage and property aquisitions are required to deliver the project. Potential start date is 2026 subject to land aquisition.

Background

Shepherd Rd Exchange Expansion

The existing exchange will be enhanced with a new bus bay, passenger platform and customer amenities, sidewalks, a dedicated transit operator washroom, micro-mobility elements and interim park & ride facility.

The new bus bay is located between Asher Rd and Roxby Rd on the south side of the road. The Transit operator washroom will be located on the South West corner of Asher and Shepherd Rd.

Design is underway and construction is anticipated in 2025.
