About the Park

Rutland Recreation Park is a family-friendly park that provides a variety of recreational opportunities. The park currently features four soccer fields, two ball diamonds, and a BMX facility. The park is also home to the Rutland Arena, with two NHL-sized ice rinks, the Kelowna Family Y, the Okanagan Gymnastics Centre and Rutland Activity Centre. Other amenities include community gardens, pickleball courts, trails, and washrooms. Rutland Recreation Park also includes a designated, off-leash dog area.

Future Park Plans

As part of plans to build a stronger Kelowna, sports fields in this park will be optimized including the addition of an artificial turf field with lights. This set up greatly enhances the seasonal capacity of sports fields, an amenity in high demand across Kelowna, allowing nearly 3x more playing time annually over grass fields.
