The spring sweep is expected to be completed by early-May, weather permitting.\u{A0}</p><p>\u{A0}</p><p>“We have seven large road sweepers, six municipal tractors, two water trucks, two dump trucks, two dedicated sidewalk sweepers and 40 staff working on this year’s annual sweep,” said Andrew Schwerdtfeger, Roadways Operations Manager. “Street sweeping is completed in <a href="https://www.kelowna.ca/sites/files/1/snow_sweep_removal_map_colour.pdf" data-msdyn-tracking-id="72dcda813781710951189586">sections</a> and we’ll be posting this year’s route schedule on a weekly basis at <a href="https://www.kelowna.ca/roads-transportation/roads-sidewalks/street-sweeping-litter-removal">kelowna.ca/roadsweeping</a>.”\u{A0}</p><p>\u{A0}</p><p>Residents can help the sweepers by moving vehicles off the road as well as any other items that could impede street sweepers such as basketball hoops. Sweeping sand from sidewalks and boulevards into the gutters is also helpful to ensure a clean sweep.\u{A0}</p><p>\u{A0}</p><p>Signage restricting on-street parking will be placed at least twenty-four hours before an area is scheduled to be swept.
